Caraway Fayre:

A Taste of Caraway
Saturday 1st October 2022, 2-5pm
Highfield Church Centre

Please join us…

…for an intergenerational afternoon fayre celebrating those that are older but still young at heart for UN International day of Older Persons.

You can sample A Taste of Caraway’s core events (like Vintage Adventure and our Memory Cafes) all in one place, at the same time. This inaugural annual fundraising event aims to bring families together across multiple generations for a fun afternoon of crafts, foods, music, games and dance.

The Sheriff of Southampton, Councillor Valerie Laurent and Rev. Dr Erica Roberts, Southampton’s City Chaplain for the older person and the Founder of Caraway will be opening the afternoon with a warm welcome speech at 2.15pm.

As our community of those with dementia grows throughout Southampton so does our network of Memory Cafés supporting the many families living with dementia.

The purpose of this event is to:
  • Increase the profile of Caraway’s essential work, conducted by our busy network of volunteers, spiritually resourcing the older person across Southampton
  • Raise vital funds to employ a dedicated Anna Chaplain for Dementia to support our memory cafes
