A colleague and I went into one of our Care Homes today to take a service.
After the service a lady shared this story …
She mentioned that it had been a stormy and windy night last night, and as she lay in her bed in the care home she felt frightened. But she also knew that God was with her and put his arm around her like her husband used to. She was greatly comforted and felt at peace.
It reminded me that many residents have a very active faith and a very beautiful and direct relationship with God.
In John 14:27 it says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
