It offers a moment to take a pause with other carers at a range of stages in their journeys with dementia. With the focus alternating between gently informative and soothing recollections, allowing termly group space to recuperate and recharge.
We invite speakers experienced in their field to present on a particular topic and offer discussion and sharing time to learn from each other.
Carers will be supported…
We are sometimes able to accommodate care for your loved one who is living with Dementia but other times this is not possible. We will always let you know well in advance so that you have time to arrange other care if needs be.
Please get in touch with us if you are interested in finding out more about this group.
“thank you for the support and encouragement you have given me over these past months of working as a Wellbeing Volunteer for Dementia. It has been great coming on board, with lots to learn”

"We thoroughly enjoyed our day in New Zealand! It was really well planned, food very nice - so HUGE thanks to all involved in any part of the day - we thought it was great and huge fun learning the Haka! The young lady teaching us was really good and had us all laughing about it!. The whole day is something to remember with much pleasure."
Guest, Holiday at Home
I do enjoy all of it. I think the service at the start is good. I know some people find the little figures a bit patronising, but the discussions are good and it's good to meet up with friends and it's good to see all the displays. It does make you think. It’s the companionship and the friendliness. It’s just a pleasant few hours really. I think it’s nice to be using the church for a truly worshipping session.

"I don't think I could ever put into words the help, inspiration and kindness you have been to my dear Mum."
Mary, Chaplaincy
I see spiritual care as far more than just whether they go to a church or have a faith or not, it is linked to their whole being.
