What do Caraway Chaplains do?

Caraway Chaplains work throughout the community in Southampton. They are here to support and to listen, to signpost and to help people access services and make connections within their community.

Our Chaplaincy Packages are individually tailored to the needs of the individual. During the referral process, an appropriate number of visits over a fixed period of time will be agreed upon between the Chaplain and the individual.

Areas of help and support that our Chaplains can provide include the following:

End of Life

Chaplains can offer comfort for those nearing the end of their lives, and their loved ones.

Spiritual Well-being

Talking to a Chaplain can help to understand your past in a safe and gentle way and look to your future with hope and positivity.

Bereavement and Loss

Chaplains can offer listening, encouragement and guidance through the difficult emotions of losing someone you love.

Re-connection with Faith

Later life can bring lots of questions. Talking about a past Faith and what that might be mean for today can be helpful.

Change, such as moving into a Care Home, becomes more difficult as we get older and talking with a Chaplain can help to navigate this.

Chaplains offer a listening ear, guidance and connection to those who feel alone or disconnected.

Support us to resource our older community.
