We were exhibiting at DemFest recently and a lady stopped at the Caraway stall to chat. She had cared for her husband who lived with dementia for fifteen years until he died. The lady noticed the prayer cards and VA@Home Resources that we produce amongst all the other things we had out. And she said this to me …
“I don’t follow a religion, I think there is good in all religions, and bad in all religions, but when I was caring for my husband, on the hardest days I would pray “Jesus, God please help me get through today.” And I know, I’m absolutely certain, that without God’s help I wouldn’t have made it through the day. God helped me on those hardest days. But I’m not religious.”
People, who might seem anti-God, still reach out to him, to Jesus for help. And God responds.
