Welcome to Kathy Hyde, a new Anna Chaplain for the East side of Southampton and Sholing in particular. we had a special commissioning service at St mary’s Church, Sholing on Sunday September 29th and Revd Canon Paul Moore, Archdeacon for Mission from the Winchester Diocese came to conduct the service with Revd Erica Roberts and to welcome her. Kathy is part of Church Army’s Southampton Centre of Mission, working alongside her husband, Captain Tim Hyde. She recently completed four years of study alongside Church Army’s trainee evangelists. She works with older people supporting them in the community and in care homes and organising Classic Cuppa and Holiday at Home in St Mary’s church, Sholing. It was a super service and Kathy was thrilled by the event and the love and welcome showed her. Many wonderful cakes and drinks were provided by the church.
