Taste of Caraway 23 Programme
With just a few days until our annual fundraising Taste of Caraway Fayre 23 opens its doors to welcome young and old in for an afternoon of joyful friendship with music, craft and cake. By celebrating UN International Older Persons Day with us, you can sample all that Caraway offers to our community of older people across Southampton.

By joining us for this fun-filled occasion you are helping to raise our profile and vital funds to secure our ongoing service provision to Southampton’s community of older people. Many of our community experience isolation, loneliness or live with Dementia, Caraway strives to provide opportunities for connection and friendship.
We have a programme of activities across the afternoon that includes:
- Live music from Uke Box Glory and Jonathan H Klein.
- Gentle movement with Eleanor’s Ways to Move Ribbons and Lesley’s seat-exercise class.
- Interactive informative sessions on Dementia, Caraway Chaplaincy and Breadmaking.
- Face painting for all ages for advised donations.
- Auction of promises.
- Create your own Christmas decoration for advised donations.

Bidding for our Auction of Promises will start at 4.15, do join with the banter in the main hall of Highfield Church Centre as we have some amazing lots! Highlights include:
- Holiday homes
- Tickets to see Saints play and several local venues, including Mottisfont.

Alongside the afternoons activities we also have several craft stalls, selling a broad range handmade items that are perfect gifts, hosted by local creatives. Stalls include:

ALL ARE WELCOME! We have plenty of activities, to keep young and old family members busy.
Much of the entertainment and activities are included in the entry fee but there are a few activities available for small donations so please bring plenty of change. Our Refreshments Café will be open all afternoon, serving delicious treats and hot drinks for advised donations.
Taste of Caraway 23 Fayre entry is £3 per person or £10 per family made up of two adults and two children (children under two go free), this includes live music and entertainment throughout the afternoon.
