CARAWAY FAYRE: A Taste of Caraway 2023

Please join us for our annual fundraiser Taste of Caraway 23 fayre…

…for our annual fundraiser Taste of Caraway 23 fayre celebrating UN International day of Older Persons. Bringing families together across multiple generations, this fun-filled afternoon of crafts, foods, music, games and dance has something for everyone.

Event Details:

Date: Saturday 7^th October 2023, 2-5pm

Address: Highfield Church Centre, Southampton, SO17 1RL

Costs: £3 per person | £10 per group of 4

By joining us on this jam-packed afternoon, you can:

Pick up early Christmas gifts.
Have a go at some craft.
Sample “A Taste” of Caraway’s core events (like Vintage Adventure and our Memory Cafes) in one place
Enjoy catching up with Friends over a cuppa & cake at the café.
Help us combat loneliness and build community amongst older people in Southampton.

The purpose of this event is to:

Increase the profile of Caraway’s essential work, conducted by our busy network of volunteers, spiritually resourcing the older person across Southampton

Our 2022 Taste of Caraway Fayre dedicated to raising vital funds to employ a City Chaplain for Dementia to support our memory cafes. We are recruiting for this much needed position.

Plenty of activities, to keep young and old family members busy, available for small donations, please bring plenty of change.

Stock up on gifts and cards for loved ones with Local Arts & Craft Stalls selling handmade goods, please contact caraway@caraway.uk.com if you would like to have a table at the fayre. Reserve a Stall Table for £15.

Our Refreshments Café will be open all afternoon, serving yummy treats and hot drinks for advised donations.

An interactive trail celebrating all things Caraway. Each participant will get a sheet of clues, to find answers for around the venue, relating to some of the many ways Caraway helps those that are older. A small prize for all participants completing the trail.

Fayre entry is £3 per person or £10 per family made up of two adults and two children (children under two go free), this includes live music and entertainment throughout the afternoon.
