Caraway celebrates the Queens Platinum Jubilee.

What a fabulous time we have been blessed with, celebrating the 70-year reign of our monarch HRH Queen Elizabeth II.

Platinum Jubilee Tea Dance

On the 31st May over 90 of us gathered at Highfield Church to dance the afternoon away to live music from the Second Wind Quartet and afternoon tea.

Welcoming our guests in on the late spring day, we enjoyed an uplifting afternoon dancing under the careful tuition of Paula Barfoot and Marsha.

With bunting and union jacks galore, we thoroughly enjoyed the merriment and even had an exhausting demonstration from our local Lindy Hoppers.

In Celebration Service of the Queens Platinum Jubilee

Returning the next day to Highfield Church for a calmer in celebration service. We gave thanks to the 70 years of service Queen Elizabeth has devoted to the Church of England, the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

The service was followed with some union jack themed light refreshments, reflective activities and jubilee memorabilia.

Lots of fun for all, as Caraway celebrates the Queens Platinum Jubilee.  A big Thank You to the large team of volunteers on the day and behind the scenes for making these events happen.
