Lordswood Memory Café set to launch in early January 2023

Kings Church, Lordswood prepares to welcome those living with dementia at a new memory café early next year.

Sally Collins of Kings Church recognised the need for a place for people living with dementia and their carers to meet and socialise in her community. After visiting the memory cafés in Highfield and Shirley to see what was happening, with the help of her colleagues Nathan and James, Sally set up a new memory café for the Lordswood community.

Lordswood Memory Café, starts on the 4th of January 2023, at Kings Church. With live music, tea, coffee, cake and friendship to celebrate our latest memory café opening.

POP BY AND JOIN US AT LORDSWOOD MEMORY CAFÉ FOR FRIENDLY TEA, CHAT & ACTIVITIES. All are welcome whether diagnosed or not.  Do come along and meet with others going through similar experiences.

Memory Cafes are for those with memory problems, their carers and households living with dementia.  Often hosted in partnership with the Solent Admiral Nursing Team and Carers in Southampton, an Admiral nurse will be present when possible.

Do you have, or do you know someone with memory problems? We have Memory Cafes across the city for you, your carers and households living with dementia.
