The sun shone once again as we held our annual Caraway Volunteers’ Thank You Party!

It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the amazing dedication and generosity of our volunteers, who give their time and support in so many different ways. From those helping at our Memory Cafés to our Chaplains visiting people one-to-one, every single member of our team is truly appreciated.

Against the beautiful backdrop of the Portswood Residents’ Gardens, our volunteers enjoyed a delicious Afternoon Tea, while taking the opportunity to network, catch up and share stories and experiences with one another. They were fully treated to a wonderful set of live music performed by the brilliant Phil and his wife Aly and their good friend Lachlan covering many well known tunes.

Elisabeth, our Trustee for Volunteers, gave a short talk, while our Volunteer Coordinator, Barry, used the occasion as an invaluable opportunity to speak with everyone who came along. It was a chance to hear feedback about what works well and, importantly, how we can best support our volunteers going forwards.

A huge thank you to every one of our wonderful volunteers for everything you do. We couldn’t do what we do without you!
