For Erica Roberts, City Chaplain for older people in Southampton, it was a great honour to receive a well-earned post of Honorary Canon of Winchester Cathedral. The installation went well today, when Bishop Tim, Bishop of Winchester spoke of the contribution that Erica has made towards the ministry of older people. The Dean of Winchester allocated them their places in the Cathedral, and welcomed them into the flock of cannons!
It is a great boost to this work to have recognition by the Diocese of Winchester.
There were lots of supporters from Southampton, and we wish her well as she continues this valuable work. All possible only because of her great Anna Chaplains, and volunteers who do the work with her week by week. Well done all of you!
